American School is announcing modest increases to its tuition costs effective August 1. As of that date, one year of our accredited middle school program or accredited high school program will cost $1000. The standard agreement will call for a down payment of $200, followed by 5 monthly payments of $160 each until the year is paid in full. One year will continue to include 5 units of credit, and tuition will continue to include the same benefits that currently exist, such as study materials, grading, access to the online student center and more. In addition, tuition for courses taken on an individual basis through our independent study program for credit recovery or enrichment will increase by $25 per course. Therefore, as of August 1, most individual subjects will cost $275 for one semester or $325 for a full unit course, though some value subjects will cost $175 for one semester or $225 for a full unit course and some premium courses will cost $375 for one semester and $425 for a full unit course. Tuition will continue to include study materials, grading, access to the online student center and more. The modest increases in tuition are due to the rising costs of study materials, shipping and processing. While online applications will be updated on August 1 and newly updated printable applications will be available to download on that same date, American School will continue to accept printable applications with 2022-2023 pricing as long as they are postmarked by September 1. American School remains committed to offering accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses at an affordable cost, and these modest tuition increases will allow us to do that for years to come. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
